One Theatre World is the most significant gathering of theatre for young audience professionals in North America presented by Theatre for Young Audiences/USA, featuring performances, juried breakout sessions (workshops and discussions), master classes, a keynote address, special events, and networking opportunities.  200 theatre professionals, artists, and educators will attend.

Opening Party – Children’s Fairyland

One Theatre World 2017 will kick off with a visit to one of the Bay Area’s iconic attractions for young people and families.  The event begins at 6 pm and includes a performance of AXIS Dance Company.  200+ will attend the opening party.

One Theatre World will host several performances from the best of the Bay Area and beyond including:

Master Classes, Breakout Sessions, and Special Events Sponsors

Festival attendees will have a full agenda of master classes, breakout sessions and special events that will support their future work in the field of Theatre for Young Audiences.  Master Classes will involve the award winning San Francisco Mime Troup and social justice theatre Red Ladder Theatre Company.  Breakout Sessions will tackle racial diversity, collaboration, puppetry, and working with performing arts presenters.  Special Events include the hugely successful national completion Young Playwrights for Change; a conversation with author, choreographer, and playwright Tim Federle.

All 200+ festival attendees will have the opportunity to participate in most of the sessions, classes and events.

Internship Sponsor

Each One Theatre World Festival engages interns from University Theatre for Young Audience programs from across the US to assist with the smooth operation of the Festival.  Each intern is provided with a housing and a 1-year membership to TYA/USA.  Sponsoring an intern provides the student with access to networking opportunities along with admission to many of the Festival programs.

One Theatre World Exhibitor Fair

Become a One Theatre World 2017 Festival Exhibitor and show off your business or organization in the hip industrial lobby of Freight & Salvage Coffeehouse where many of the Festival events will occur and breaks will be staged. You’ll have the opportunity for you to connect with hundreds of festival goers several times throughout our time together. This will provide you with key opportunities to share your business or organization with theatre professionals and students from around the country as One Theatre World is the premiere Festival for theatre for young audiences in the U.S.

As space is limited, Exhibitor Fair reservations are taken on a first come, first served basis. (Sponsors have priority.)  All Vendor Fair participants are provided ONE conference registration.  All other registrations are provided at the TYA/USA membership price.

The Vendor Fair will be open at the following times:

May 4 – 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM

May 5 – 9 AM to 4 PM

May 6 – 9 AM to 12 Noon

As the Festival will be presented in working theatre spaces, all exhibitor materials must be removed at the end of each day.

Each exhibitor will be provided one or two 6’ banquet table, one table covering, and two chairs.  Electrical connections are not guaranteed.
