Doctor Noize is the alter ego of Cory Cullinan, a music graduate of Stanford University. After spells as both an award-winning high school Arts Department Head — where he had the opportunity to conduct kids in such works as Into The Woods — and a multimedia composer of everything from documentary soundtracks to songs in Brad Pitt movies, Cory became a father and settled on creating productions for kids as Doctor Noize. Doctor Noize has created albums of musical theatre for kids leading to #1 songs on Sirius XM Kids radio, animated videos, a Top 25 iPhone app for kids in 25 countries, illustrated children’s books, and stage musicals. He regularly tours around the country playing everything from Doctor Noize solo shows to symphony shows, and gives Keynote Addresses and teaching workshops where he writes and records a song with a group of kids in 90 minutes and posts it online for all to hear. A multi-instrumentalist, Doctor Noize uses loop recording in his live solo shows to interactively create music with his audiences, getting kids and the adults who belong to them directly inside the creative process. His symphony shows teach kids all about the orchestra and classical music, and are based on the groundbreaking musical theatre recording Phineas McBoof Crashes the Symphony he released last year with Grammy-winning stage stars Isabel Leonard, Nathan Gunn, and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. Doctor Noize’s recent musical for young audiences The Ballad of Phineas McBoof premiered at Palo Alto Children’s Theatre in November 2016.
