Public Relations 101 – Engaging with Journalists to Earn Media Coverage for your Theatre or Performance

Description:

In today’s media climate, it is imperative that the arts do not take a back seat. Learn how to reach the journalists, critics and influencers who can get the word out about your production or theatre. While large theatre organizations might have the resources to employ publicists to correspond with the media, journalists are accessible to directly connect with theatres or individual artists. Vendini’s PR Manager (and former theatre publicist) will moderate a discussion between national, local and hyperlocal journalists, uncovering best practices for reaching reporters in print, web, radio, television and social media. Additionally, learn how to ignite your patrons through social media and digital marketing tools to catch the attention of influencers and press.

The Ideal Participant:

Whether a seasons publicist or a marketing novice, this session is intended for those interested in gaining media coverage for their theatre or performance.

Moderator: Julie Richter, PR & Influencer Manager at Vendini
